Scott Klein is a senior consultant with SQL Solutions Group with over two decades of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server. Prior to SSG, Scott spent almost 10 years at Microsoft, traveling the globe as a technical evangelist training and speaking about SQL Server and Microsoft’s Azure data services. Scott’s recent focus has been on advanced analytics, including big data and IoT, providing real-world training to help bring intelligence to your data. Scott has authored several books focusing on data and data analytics. Scott is continuously striving and looking for ways to help developers and companies grok the wonderful world of data.
Cláudio works as SQL Server DBA and he is an former PowerShell MVP who loves to automate any process that needs to be done more than a couple of times. He is an active member on the PowerShell and SQL communities. He contributes to dbatools project (https://dbatools.io) and is always available to help. You can find him on slack and twitter platforms.
He also helps on some Portuguese in-person events such as SQLSaturday Lisbon and TugaIT. He is also a regular speaker on these and other events.
Murilo Miranda is a blogger, speaker and SQL Server MVP from Portugal. Nowadays he#39;s a Cloud Operations Engineer at DataStax. Murilo’s passion for working with people coupled with his honesty have helped him establish effective, meaningful relationships with his clients. When he isn’t working, he can be found enjoying life with his family, watching football and playing Playstation.
David Barbarin is Consultant at dbi services. He has more than ten years of experience in Microsoft solutions. He is specialized in SQL Server technologies and associated topics such as installation, migration, security audits, troubleshooting of performance issues, or high availability architectures etc. David Barbarin is SQL Server MVP (since 2010), Microsoft Certified Master (MCM) for SQL Server, and Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT).
Dave has been working in the IT field for over 20 years, the past 15 of which has been specialising within SQLServer environment. Tuning and optimizing SQLServer processes is his particular talent but no newbie either when it comes to database development and design. Dave regularly contributes to online forums and is a regular speaker at UK events such as SQL Bits and user groups. He also is founder of the SQL Lunch UK user group
Johan Bijnens is a database firefighter, involved with SQLserver since 2000, who works at Aperam Genk as member of the Industrial IT support department. Involved in designing architectural solutions based on the Microsoft SQL Server Platform. Performing operational performance and troubleshooting support in co-operation with the dev teams.

Pedro was born in 1977 in Portugal and currently works as BI Senior Consultant and Invited Lecture in several BI master degrees. He’s also founder and owner of a BI company named “Culto de BI”. He received in 2010, 2011 and 2012 the Microsoft MVP award for all the dedication and contribution helping theoretical and practical issues in the various BI communities. He#39;s also co-author and editor of several books from Packtpub and Syncfusion
Chris is a freelance SQL consultant who has been working with SQL Server since 2000, his passion is for squeezing every last drop of performance out of SQL Server and understanding the database engine at a level which conventional tools cannot provide any insights on.
Etienne Lopes currently works as a SQL Server DBA at Celfinet.

Pedro Sousa lives in Porto, Portugal and he currently works as a Senior IT Operations Analyst at Basecone. Started working with SQL Server at version 6.5 and although DBA is not his primary role, always had a particular interest for it. Nowadays one of his main focus is Microsoft Azure and integration with on-premises networks, working from the copper wire to the Cloud.
Andre Batista, with academic path in the course of Electronics, Telecommunications and Computers ( ISEL - Lisbon ) is currently in Crossjoin Solutions working as SQL Server DBA, performing functions on the client PT (Portugal Telecom). He is interested in all areas related to SQL Server and particularly in architecture, implementation, maintenance and performance. He is a member of the Portuguese SQL Server User Group, SQLPort (http://www.sqlport.com) and also one of the founders of TUGA.
Mark Broadbent is a Data Platform MVP and SQL Server MCM with more than 20 years of experience working with SQL Server and principal of SQLCloud, a consultancy specializing in concurrency control and highly available solutions. He is the founder of the UK's SQLSaturday Cambridge (its first and largest), SharePoint Saturday Cambridge, the Hybrid Virtual Chapter and the East Anglia SQL User Group.
Filipe Coelho has a PhD in Data Science from FEUP and is a Microsoft Azure Cloud professional. Previously he was Lead Data Scientist at SAPO Labs - Portugal Telecom and Big Data Engineer at Farfetch. He is currently designing Big Data platforms for exploring patterns and developing Machine Learning data products.
Jo#227;o Lopes is a SQL Server MCP working as BI Consultant with over 10 years of experience, currently a member of the consulting team at BI4ALL delivering data solutions to global clients using Microsoft BI tools.
Stijn is a Microsoft Premier Field Engineer on Data AI and a DataMinds core member. He is also one of the organizers of the local user group sessions the yearly event called DataMinds Connect (SQL Server Days). He is a speaker at various international events (SQLSaturday,PASS Summit,Difinity,...). He spends his days tuning SQL Servers solving problems with the full data platform. His focus is primarily on sql server core, but has also done various BI ETL projects. He gets his kicks out of Columnstore indexes tuning queries but shivers at the sight of an SSAS cube.
When Stijn is not working with SQL Server, you can probably find him enjoying the local cuisine local beers or enjoying time with his wife and his dog.
Senior Architect amp; Data Fellow at DevScope. Rui works with Microsoft data related technologies since 1998 and currently leads Data Research amp; Advanced Analytics team at DevScope.
Beyond data techonologies, Rui also has strong background in web, mobile amp; security and he likes to mix all of these to get the most out of Microsoft#39;s Data Platform and make the world a better place through the use of data.
Despite his assumed introversion he loves to learn amp; share his findings with developers, data lovers and microsoft platform communities on local amp; online events.

In his free time, he is actively participating, volunteering and/or speaking portuguese community meetings (Azure PT, Arduino Day, Cloud Pro PT, IT Pro Portugal, Netponto, O365PT, PowerShell Portugal, PTJUG, SQLPort, SQLSaturday, Tuga IT, etc.). Niko Neugebauer is a Data Platform Consultant. A SQL Server MVP with over 20 years of experience in IT, he is passionate about the Microsoft Data Platform and community. Founder of the Portuguese SQL Server User Group and the main organizer of the first SQLSaturday event outside of North America (#78 Portugal), Niko speaks regularly at events such as PASS Summit, SQLRally, SQLBits, and SQLSaturday events around the world. Niko loves sharing information and knowledge and has authored over 130 blog posts on Columnstore Indexes, and regularly contributes to the open-sourced CISL library focused on Columnstore Indexes.
Gerhard has been working with Microsoft BI tools since 2006 mainly focusing on Microsoft SQL Server and its components. As a consultant and architect he designed various enterprise BI solutions primary in the German-speaking areas. His personal interest has always been on analytical databases and their capabilities. In 2012 he achieved the SSAS Maestro certification. He is also very active in the community, has its own blog and speaks at conferences all over the world on a regular basis.
Sander van der hoeff
With over 20 years of experience in automation Sander van der Hoeff knows his way around in the ICT business. Since 2000 Sander is Specialized in business intelligence and data warehousing using the full SQLServer Stack. In 2012 Sander founded his own BI-company: Du Sabot. Nowadays Sander spends his time on several BI- and DWH-projects as an independent professional. Sander combines deep technical knowledge with the capability to explain difficult BI- and DWH-concepts to the non-technical people
Remus Rusanu is a former SQL Server team member. For 12 years he worked on such features as Service Broker, Columnstore Indexes, Query Store and many more. In April 2016 he left Microsoft to found DBHistory.com, a simplified SQL Server monitoring and auditing product.
Ivan Campos is currently a database administrator in 3C Payment a fin-tech in Luxembourg. (3CPayment.com).
He is Microsoft Most Valuable Professional, active speaker at local community meetings in Portugal and outside Portugal. He is the leader and one of the founders of the community based in the north of Portugal Porto.Data (www.portodata.net) and the organizer of SQLSaturday in Porto Portugal.
