Title: Implementando aplicaciones multi-región en Azure con CosmosDB

Abstract: Una de las claves para que tu aplicación tenga éxito es la rapidez a la hora de mostrar contenido. Con la llegada del cloud se nos abre un gran abanico de posibilidades, una de ellas es la de alojar nuestra aplicación en las regiones más cercanas a nuestros usuarios para que la latencia sea la menor posible y tener máxima rapidez, es decir, que nuestra aplicación sea multi-región. El gran problema que conlleva tener una aplicación de este estilo es que los datos deben estar en el mismo datacenter que la aplicación para poder dar el servicio de la forma deseada, por lo que debemos tener nuestros datos distribuidos y replicados por las diferentes regiones del mundo y como en el caso de la aplicación tener nuestra base de datos multi-región. En esta sesión vamos a ver como CosmosDB nos permite tener nuestros datos en diferentes regiones y sincronizados entre ellos de forma fácil y sencilla.

Title: La moda del DeepLearning. Un ejemplo: DeepLearning for Cancer Inmunotherapy

Abstract: Los nuevos algoritmos basados en redes profundas (Deep Learning) han irrumpido en el mundo de la analítica con mucha fuerza. Han obtenido éxitos rotundos en problemas de detección de objetos, visión artificial, reconocimiento del habla, etc.

Su uso ha comenzado a extenderse a problemas donde anteriormente se usaban algoritmos más clásicos. En estos casos su rendimiento puede llegar a cuestionarse, pero el efecto “halo” que su uso conlleva está impidiendo de hecho una revisión crítica de su uso y ventajas para este tipo de problemas.

En esta ponencia se presentará un ejemplo de este tipo. Se analizará un conjunto de datos asociado a la detección del cáncer utilizando una red profunda de tipo densa, para luego replicar el análisis con otros algoritmos más recientes pero con gran capacidad predictiva, igualando o superando los resultados proporcionados por la red.

Abstract: ¿Os imagináis que ya no dependiéramos del usuario para darle contenido a nuestras aplicaciones?. Hoy en día desde una pequeña imagen de un usuario podríamos saber mucho de él, más de lo que nos creemos. Con servicios de análisis como Azure Data Lake y los servicios Cognitivos de Azure podemos hacer aplicaciones inteligentes que no dependan del usuario para ir completando los metadatos necesarios para tener una aplicación completa. Como ejemplo final podremos ver como hacer un cuaderno de bitácora para posicionar en un mapa mundi todos nuestros viajes, simplemente consumiendo un puñado de fotos.
