Steve has presented papers at eight PASS Summits and one at PASS Europe 2009 and 2010. He has just recently presented a Business Intelligence paper at Oracle Open World in San Francisco . Steve has also presented 5 papers at the Information Builders’ (IBI) International Summits. He is a PASS regional mentor chair of the Oracle/SQL Server VC

I worked for one of the largest banks in South Africa, and was then recruited into the Premier Field Engineering (PFE) division within Microsoft CSS. I spent over 3 years working in PFE for SQL Server and Analytics Platform System (APS).
Currently I am an Data Architect for a South African startup using Azure, the Microsoft Data Platform, and analytics.
I enjoy spending time with my family, listening to podcasts, and learning about new technologies.

15 years in IT. What a ride we are on! I am a technical resource that has fell in love with SQL and what it can do. The projects that I work on range from big (50GB) to huge (3 Tb) to massive (30TB) databases and all that that entails. PM, Architect, Lead, Mentor, BA, Developer, DBA, Tester and yes call centre operator.
