When and Where?
The South Florida SQL Saturday will be held on August 13th, 2011 at Nova Southeastern University (Carl DeSantis Building...3301 College Ave.) in Davie FL. Event checking will be at 7:30 with the Keynote beginning at 8:00 and sessions beginning at 8:30. Sessions will wrap up between 5:00 and 5:30.
Coffee and doughnuts for breakfast, and lunch will provided. There will be numerous opportunities to earn swag of all value.
The Call For Speakers is now open and will be open until the beginning of July. The schedule will be finalized a few weeks before the event. Last year we had 6 tracks; this year expect to have between 6 and 8 tracks from 20 to 30 different speakers. To see what sessions have been submitted so far (or to make a suggestion for a session), visit the Schedule page.
Who is presenting?
Many of the local and regional SQL Server experts (including MVP's) will be here sharing their knowledge, including Brento Ozar, Adam Jorgensen, Tim, Ford, Rodney Landrum, Pam Shaw, Wes Dumey, Max Trinidad, and more! We want to make it clear that you DO NOT need to be an MVP or SQL guru to speak at this event. We are looking for a variety of speakers and topics as possible, from beginner to expert! That is what makes SQL Saturday so GREAT! Sessions include topics such as SSIS, performance tuning, Powershell, and new technologies. Don't be afraid to register as a speaker. If you have a topic you want to present, register! If you are unsure of a topic, visit the Schedule page. If you want to hear a specific topic, Suggest a Session !
Want to Sponsor?
Events like this happen because of sponsors, to help cover the costs of holding and running the event. This is a fantastic way for SQL Server professionals to give back to the community. If would like to become a sponsor or want more information about current sponsors, visit our Sponsors page.
