Welcome to SQLSaturday #154

SQLSaturday is a training event for SQL Server professionals and those wanting to learn about SQL Server. This will be the very first SQL Saturday event to be hosted in the St.Louis area !

This event will be held Sep 15th, 2012 at the CAIT Campus of Washington University in St.Louis. The Street address of the venue is - 5 Jackson Avenue, Center for Application of Information technology (CAIT) at Washington University in St.Louis, Clayton, MO 63105. Admittance to this event is free, but we do charge a lunch fee of $10.00 so that we can provide a box lunch - not pizza!

This is a 5 track, 200+ person event with sessions on the topics of Database Administration, Application Development, Business Intelligence and Professional Development. Free parking for SQL Saturday #154 attendees is available on the day of the event, anywhere in the Parking Garage (Garage Lot #60) next to the building. You DO NOT need any Parking pass or permit to park here on saturday, sept 15. There is limited street parking around the building.

Sep 13,2012 On Friday night (sept 14) around 9.30 PM, we are planning to having a pre-event party in the form of SQL Karaoke. Mike Talayna’s Juke Box Restaurant (1115 Hampton Avenue St. Louis, MO 63139 (314) 647-7600) starts their karaoke at 9.30 PM. All speakers and attendees are welcome to attend (look for kathi Kellenbeger at the event to find the SQL people). The SQL Saturday #154 team is only suggesting this venue. Attendees are responsible for their own food and beverages at this party. SQL Saturday #154 organizers will not be responsible for anything at the party.

Aug 19,2012 Thank you for the overwhelming response to #SQLSAT154. Our event has currently received more registrations than the venue capacity. All future registrations will be put on a wait list. You will be notified via email as soon as your registration gets confirmed.
Jul 15,2012 We have worked out a room block for this event with the Crowne Plaza - St.Louis Clayton Hotel for Friday Sept 14 and/or Saturday Sept 15. Their standard room (single as well as double occupancy), which goes for $189 + taxes/night is being offered for $109 + taxes per night. This room block with discount rates will be available till Friday, Aug 24, 2012. The hotel's standard cancellation policy is applicable with this discounted rate. While you may come across online deals for $89 + taxes/night, those reservations cannot be cancelled once made. Individual guests may make reservations by calling directly at 314.726.5400, toll free at 1.800.439.5719, or online at www.cpclayton.com. You can can mention group code SQL or say you are with SQL Server Saturday, to avail of this discounted rate. This is the recommended hotel for SQL Saturday #154 event and is only 2 blocks (short walk) from the event venue. The hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to and from Lambert International Airport - guest must call 314-726-5400 to arrange transport. A metrolink station is also within 2 blocks of the hotel. Parking: Hotel guest current parking fee is $6.00 per car, per day, meeting attendees parking is $4.00 per day. Parking is complimentary on weekends from Friday 7pm – Monday 7am.
